On Friday, an advisory has been issued by the US for its citizens who are wiling to travel to Pakistan and India Border and the line of control (LoC). As per the advisory, the reasons behind warning to these regions is because of the Terrorism and armed conflict. This advisory also warned travelers cautiously about the traveling to khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan for the same reason citing security threats.
In addition to the US Travel Advisory statement, "Terrorism and ongoing violence by extremist elements have led to indiscriminate attacks on civilians, as well as local military and police targets. Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting transportation hubs, markets, shopping malls, military installations, airports, universities, tourist attractions, schools, hospitals, places of worship, and government facilities. Terrorists have targeted US diplomats and diplomatic facilities in the past."
As per the US Travel advisory, It emphasized the security concerns of Pakistan that makes it unpredictable and situations can changes rapidly. they noted, "Pakistan's security environment remains fluid, sometimes changing with little or no notice," Addition to this, Islamabad and other major cities have better security infrastructure and resources compared to other parts making it easier for travelers. According to US advisory, Balochistan is categorized under "Level 4: DO Not Travel."
It strongly suggested against traveling to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province due to the presence of active terrorist and insurgent groups because of the risk of attacks on civilians, NGOs, government offices, and security forces where assassinations and kidnappings are common.
