Emirates Airlines is renowned for providing its passengers with a high-end experience by offering luxurious amenities. Now, even pets can have a specialized service with Emirates Airlines; based on their pet policy, the pets can experience the utmost care regardless of the class of travel. Emirates Pet Policy 2025 ensures a seamless travel experience for the pets just as the passengers. In this article, we will briefly explore the Emirates pet policy and explain the requirements so that pets can have an ultimate experience regardless of how they travel, whether as a cabin or checked baggage.
Emirates Pet Policy 2025:
According to Emirates' pet policy, animals are prohibited on Emirates flights. However, exceptions are Guide dogs or service dogs for blind people and falcons to specific destinations in Pakistan. All other animals must be transported based on the particular destination country you are traveling to.
Animals must be transported as cargo for the trips ending in Dubai.
For more information and details, passengers can contact Emirates Skycargo or any local cargo agent.
A travel route that starts in Dubai and goes to other countries that permit pet animals to enter as "excess baggage" can be transported as checked baggage. These animals include falcons, dogs, cats, and pet birds.
The cost of the animals and the containers will be determined based on the size and weight of the animal along with its cage, and these charges will be applied in any scenario, even when there is no other checked baggage being carried by the passenger.
Emirates Animal's Excess Baggage Fees:
Emirates charges the passengers some additional fees, which are based on the weight and dimensions of the pet and its cage.
If the animal and cage weigh less than 23 kg and are less than 59 inches in diameter, an excess baggage fee of USD 500 will be applied.
If the combined weight of the animal and cage is between 24 and 32 kg and the dimensions are between 59 and 118 inches, then an excess baggage fee of USD 650 will be applied.
If the combined weight of the animal and the cage surpasses 32 kg and the dimension crosses 118/300 cm, then the pet will be transported as cargo.
If the animals and the cage travel to Dubai, then they are considered cargo.
If the duration of the journey exceeds 17 hours, then it will be considered as cargo.
If the passenger's destination country prohibits the entrance of animals as check-in luggage, then it will be considered cargo.
Rules and Restrictions of Emirates Pet Policy:
According to the Emirates Pet Travel Policy 2025, there are some rules and restrictions.
The document requirements, rates, and costs for transporting the animals are different from the usual baggage requirements.
Emirates will not take responsibility for transporting the pets for trips that involve any other airlines.
Different baggage rules will be applied for the trips that involve flights operated by different airlines.
Emirates Airlines does not have any restrictions about the number of pets that can be carried on the flights, but some countries have rules and restrictions about the number of pets that can be imported or exported from a country.
Emirates allows two adult animals of the same size and weight of 14 kg to be transported in the same container. Animals weighing more than 14 kg are supposed to be carried in different containers.
Because of the excessive heat and humidity in the United Arab Emirates, no birds are allowed to be transported except Falcons as checked baggage.
Every animal transported by Emirates Airlines must have a valid import and a valid health certificate, which declares that the animal is fit enough to be transported.
