IndiGo, one of Indis's most preferred airlines, launched new flight connectivity among its flight routes where they offer direct flight service between Hyderabad and Madinah. On January 26, 2025, IndiGo announced the expansion of its connectivity to Madinah, marking its 38th international destination. This new flight enhances the network between India and Saudi Arabia by making travel easy for pilgrims at a reasonable price.
Hyderabad is a vibrant metropolis in India, and Madinah holds a spiritual significance in Saudi Arabia. This new flight service would be a step towards boosting tourism in both cities. Passengers can now book flights using IndiGo's mobile app.
The head of Global Sales, IndiGo, Mr. Vinay Malhotra states that "The launch of the Hyderabad-Madinah route is more than just expanding our network; it opens a vital gateway for religious and cultural exchange. By commencing direct flights to Madinah, a major Islamic pilgrimage site, we aim to simplify travel within the region and beyond. With the launch of this flight, IndiGo will now operate over 100 weekly flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from India."
As per the new flight schedule commencing on February 20, 2025, two flights originating from Hyderabad and Madinah and vice versa were 6E 0057 and 6E 0058. The Madinah to Hyderabad or Hyderabad to Madinah Flights would take less than 6 hours to travel thrice in a week. However, this schedule can be subject to change.
IndiGo will be operating more than 100 flights in a week, with over 190 daily departures from Hyderabad to other cities. IndiGo is keen to make efforts towards the traveler's flight experience, making it convenient, and this new flight launch is a great initiative taken by the airline.
Last year, in May, IndiGo launched a new feature that allows female passengers to know which seats are reserved by another female passenger during web check-in, aiming to improve women's safety and comfort. The feature is basically tailored to Female travelers, and The airline said, "IndiGo is proud to announce the introduction of a new feature that aims to make the travel experience more comfortable for our female passengers. This has been introduced based on market research and is currently in pilot mode, aligning with our #GirlPower ethos."
The airline again added, "We are committed to providing an unparalleled travel experience for all our passengers, and this new feature is just one of the many steps we are taking towards achieving that goal."
